Arbitrary Decisions During First Year

These bleak green walls keep reflecting the flaws in our existence,
Septic and jealous and patched up by friends whose hands are warm enough to make you feel safe,
Rip your body in two with their keys,
but after they'll still carry you home,
Is solidified with mutual fear and insanity,
Gravitating towards one another locked inside these screaming gates,
I will not attempt to cure your sadness,
But I will sit with you and nod whilst you tear your heart out,
Still try and stop the bleeding,
Because without each other to hang on to,
We are all destined,
One by one,
To do the same.
